Dynamic Skating in the News
May 14th, 2010
Recently Bill Burt of the Lawrence Eagle Tribune talked with Milan Lucic about his improved play during the post season. Lucic was red-hot during the Bruins playoff run, scoring 9 points (5 goals and 3 assists) in the Bruins' last 8 games. Lucic attributed this success to his improved skating, something that he worked on with John McLean:
"People talk about the goals and assists, but I honestly feel that my skating has gotten better, particularly lately," said Lucic. "My feet are moving. I think the biggest reason why I'm playing better is my skating."
Lucic spent three solid weeks with McLean, who runs Dynamic Skating, in late October and early November after he had surgery on his index finger.
"John really helped me," said Lucic. "It was the first time I had never worked (one on one) with a power skater. He got me feeling very comfortable. The problem was four games into my return I sprained my ankle and was out for about six weeks and sort of lost everything I worked for. But now I feel like my skating is finally back."

Keeping up with Paul Vincent - NHL Playoffs
April 22nd, 2010

With the biggest game of the Chicago Blackhawks’ season looming, mere hours away, here’s a snapshot of what’s happening with the team, and the mood of some of the key players tonight:
Dirty Dozen: Just 12 Blackhawks skated today, along with goaltender Cristobal Huet: Kris Versteeg, Adam Burish, Brian Campbell, Brent Seabrook, Duncan Keith, Brent Sopel, Troy Brouwer, Colin Fraser, Nick Boynton, Tomas Kopecky and Bryan Bickell.
Vincent Van Go: Joel Quenneville was not on the ice to run the morning skate. Taking the lead role was skating coach Paul Vincent, known for running a tight ship and drilling players hard. Today was no different, as the 12 skaters ran a short but tough practice emphasizing stick-handling and footwork. Blackhawks assistant coach John Torchetti was also on the ice, working individual drills, such as feeding Boynton on some blue line slap-shot runs.
